Privacy statement
FW Rules turns traffic exports and firewall logs into a firewall ruleset. It is built so that we never receive your data, rather than promising to look after it.
Your files
- The files you add are read by your browser into the memory of your own device and processed there.
- They are never uploaded, sent or copied to us or to anyone else. This site has no server code, database or storage that could receive them.
- The results (the workbook, the script and the diagram) are created in memory on your device and saved only when you choose to download them.
- Nothing from your files is stored by this site. Closing or reloading the tab discards everything, including your overrides, target mapping and edited rules.
What is kept in your browser
One setting: whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It is kept in your browser's local storage, stays on your device and contains nothing about your files. There are no cookies.
What we do not use
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no error reporting service, and no scripts, fonts or stylesheets from other websites. Every file this site needs is served from this site.
What the hosting provider sees
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details of each page request, such as the IP address and the browser type, in order to deliver the files. Those requests contain nothing from the spreadsheets you add, because the spreadsheets are never sent.

Links to other Halvantic products and to the desktop download on GitHub open those websites, which have their own privacy terms. Nothing about your files goes with you.
